The Sharing Capacitance

Sometimes we carpool with our neighbor’s son. He came over the other day with a couple tokens of appreciation. We have only eaten a third of the bigger one and it lasted for two meals!

I don’t have a picture of the dish but my mother sauteed onions and garlic in vegetable oil. Then she added dark meat chicken, cubed. Finally she added a lot of chopped squash, sliced mushrooms, salt, and pepper.

She was frustrated because I didn’t have any soy sauce. Imagine that. A Filipino household without soy sauce. I don’t use very much so of course, I don’t buy very much. My husband, who is not Filipino, goes through A LOT of soy sauce when he cooks so I’d better stock up for the cooks in the household who don’t even live here.
